Gov. Herbert salutes WWII vets taking Honor Flight
This week, Gov. Herbert was honored to saluted 66 veterans of World War II as they embarked on their Honor Flight. The veterans gathered at the Salt Lake City International Airport to travel to the nation’s capital to visit the memorial erected in their honor.
Gov. Herbert thanked each individual veteran for their service and example, and for protecting our rights and freedoms. World War II veterans stepped forward and served at a very difficult time in the world’s history, rightfully earning them the title of the “Greatest Generation.”Tags: heroes, Honor Flight, veterans, World War II
